#iamOther asked What Color is Your Music?
Is there a “white” or” black” music? Is the “color” of the music determined by who creates it? Does the “color” of the music depend on the context of the lyrics? These questions were inspired by a YouTube video found on the channel iamOTHER produced by music producer, artist, entrepreneur Pharrell Williams. Graphic design artist,Petros Varnava conducted a personal survey to discover what people thought of him. This led to an interesting concept of using typography made of his finger prints and his illustrations to share his findings. Instead of using his name, he used letters A to Z.
He concluded:
Identity is something that can be shifted.
However it cannot be changed.
